About The Position

Our AAHA-accredited small-animal hospital in the heart of Lakeside, Arizona is seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian. Established in 2009, the practice is known for exceptional medicine, strong client communication, and lasting relationships within the White Mountains community. This role offers a collaborative and stable team environment, a paperless and tech-forward workflow, a feline-friendly environment with dedicated cat-only spaces, and a diverse medical and surgical caseload, including dentistry and emergency support for established clients. Requirements

• DVM/VMD from an AVMA-accredited program
• Active or eligible state licensure
• Eligibility for DEA/BNDD
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused mindset
• Professionalism and compassion in every interaction
• Ability to lift 25 pounds independently (and more with assistance)

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose illness and injury
• Utilize modern diagnostic equipment and interpret results
• Educate and guide pet owners on preventive care and treatment plans
• Perform surgery and dentistry
• Prescribe medications responsibly
• Provide compassionate end-of-life counseling
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Uphold veterinary ethics, policies, and protocols
