About The Position

Animal Health Care Center is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our team and provide evening urgent care within our established small animal general practice. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys a fast-paced clinical environment, is comfortable managing urgent medical cases, and values working closely with a supportive veterinary team. Our evening service allows us to provide timely care to patients with illnesses and injuries that require prompt attention outside of traditional daytime appointment hours. The successful candidate will have previous experience in urgent care or emergency medicine and be comfortable evaluating a variety of acute medical cases. We are looking for a veterinarian who combines strong clinical judgment with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to patient and client care. Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree.
  • Active Alabama veterinary license or eligibility for Alabama licensure.
  • Previous experience in small animal urgent care or emergency veterinary medicine is required.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.
  • Comfortable performing routine urgent care procedures.
  • Ability to recognize when a patient requires a higher level of emergency or specialty care.
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to high-quality medicine and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evening urgent care within an established small animal general practice.
