It operates a fully integrated global commodities business that is able to offer services to clients spanning derivatives risk management and advisory, physical trading and logistics and structured finance products. The US Power Trading desk is looking for an experienced trader. The Commodities US Power trading desk market makes in a variety of US power markets and works with a range of corporate clients primarily located across North America. On a day-to-day basis, team members will be expected to price and execute derivatives transactions, stay connected with market events across commodity markets, and work with the wider team to support and build the overall business.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years trading experience
- Proficiency in Python and VBA required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Power trading, basis trading and PJM preferred
Responsibilities
- Trade short term physical and financial power
- Manage cash, short-term and medium-term trading positions risk
- Executing and booking of flow-based and structured trades across power markets
- Understanding commodities market fundamentals and trends and communicating information succinctly to salespeople and clients
