Associate Underwriter - Construction & Wrap-Up Insurance

The Large Commercial Specialty Department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as an Associate Underwriter with the Wrap-up Team. This posting is open to external and internal candidates. This full-time, exempt position is based at WCF Insurance's Sandy Headquarters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, risk management, or a related field preferred.
- Prior underwriting experience, preferably in commercial Property & Casualty insurance.
- Experience supporting or underwriting construction-related accounts.
- Experience with wrap-up insurance programs preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organization skills and work accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer experience in all interactions and is responsible for building and maintaining result-oriented relationships with all customers to drive production results.
- Frequently and effectively interacts and coordinates with WCF employees in other departments including Claims, Safety, Audit, Finance, IT, and Sales & Distribution.
- Quoting new business
- Issuing policies
- Issuing endorsements
- Handling renewals
- Working with the audit department
- Putting together and sending out company reports
- Servicing accounts
- Assisting underwriter with requests
- Any tasks that may be required
