About The Position

Responsible for assisting a team of underwriters with Excess & Surplus Lines (E&S) Casualty business on a brokerage basis via a nationwide network of wholesale brokers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing
• Must be able to effectively multi-task and after the training period work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Underwriting support in Excess and Surplus lines environment strongly preferred
• High energy, desire to learn more through continued education.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support underwriters with new and renewal business including rating, form selection, binding, policy issuance and invoicing
• Quality control of various documents including quotes, policies, endorsements, cancellations and invoices
• Handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment, maintaining excellent service standards
• Deliver high quality service to wholesale broker customers
• Learn the underwriting process and appetite as well as help Underwriters prepare renewals
• In conjunction with underwriters, work closely with wholesale brokers to develop relationships
