Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Less than 3 years of underwriting experience
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Experience working in a team environment as a team leader/facilitator/influencer
  • Ability to be a role model/mentor/health coach for health and wellness to others
  • Required competencies includes: project management, organization skills, analytic capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, articulate presentation skills, and self-motivation
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related area such as health education, medical, wellness, or fitness

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite new submissions to ensure new policies are correct per guidelines
  • Review all underwriting information to correctly underwrite the policy
  • Process and scan documents for record and files electronically
  • Help prepare monthly renewal and anniversary reports
  • Enter new business applications, initiate renewal application process, process term letters, and distribute applications to support the underwriting process
  • Run pre-defined statistical reports on new business and renewal applications
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
