As an Associate on our Transmission team, you will play a key role in delivering advanced transmission analytics that support critical capital allocation and investment decisions. You will work alongside a talented team to build our next-generation transmission tools that provide scalable transmission insights across North America. In this role, you will collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to solve complex transmission challenges, uncover opportunities, and deliver actionable insights that drive real-world impact. Requirements

2-4 years of relevant work experience, including previous internships or co-op terms.
Passionate about the energy transition and the critical role of transmission.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field; Electrical or Power Systems Engineering preferred.
Foundational knowledge of power systems and at least 1 year of experience in transmission power flow analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a relentless desire to learn and uncover answers to keep up with the evolving transmission landscape.
Collaborative, people-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment while taking ownership and delivering results.

Nice To Haves

Experience with tools such as PSS®E, PSS®MUST, TARA, PSLF, or PowerWorld is an asset.

Responsibilities

Contribute to market analysis in battery storage and the wider power and renewables sector.
Perform transmission power flow studies that directly support real-world investment and development decisions worth millions of dollars.
Lead or contribute to interconnection and transmission studies, taking ownership from analysis through delivery.
Partner with software and product teams to shape the future of Orennia’s transmission platform.
Create data-driven insights and thought leadership on the evolving grid.
Work closely with clients to deliver actionable transmission analytics and customized solutions.
Present study findings and recommendations through reports, presentations, and client discussions.
