About The Position

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is hiring a part-time Associate Trader to support its Trading department. Reporting to a Trading Manager, the Associate Trader assists Traders with data analysis, game management, feature testing, and other trading tasks. The role is based in Fanatics’ Denver office and is expected to average 20–35 hours per week, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed. A flexible schedule includes some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. The hourly pay is $30.00, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The role focuses on creating an entertaining betting proposition for Fanatics customers while keeping customer and colleague experience central. The Associate Trader works with other Trading department members and cross-functional partners to improve and deliver a data-driven, intuitive, and scalable betting experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or currently pursuing one.
• 1–3 years of experience in similar roles.
• Passion for sport and an understanding of what sports fans want from entertainment.
• Ability to understand and interpret data and translate it into probabilities.
• Ability to test sportsbook platforms and contribute to developing and understanding statistical probabilities and game theory.
• Team-first mentality and willingness to work cross-functionally across Fanatics Betting & Gaming and the larger Fanatics organization.
• Willingness to ask questions and learn, along with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, and to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in a designated area of the Trading department, compiling prices, managing games, monitoring bets, adjusting prices, and assessing customers.
• Contribute to testing new sportsbook features and trading models, providing feedback and collaborating with the wider team.
• Assist with automation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the Trading department.
• Support and collaborate with other Associate Traders, sharing knowledge and contributing to their development.
• Work with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to create and implement a data-driven, intuitive, and scalable betting experience informed by user research and competitor analysis.
• Ensure customers are at the heart of Fanatics’ Trading strategies.
• Assist other teams within the department when necessary.
