About The Position

BlackRock's Outsourced Platform Services (OPS) delivers global middle- and back-office support across trade support, transaction servicing, collateral management, data governance, payments, corporate actions, reconciliations, alternative operations, and investment accounting. The organization is focused on delivering scalable operational excellence for clients worldwide. Within OPS, the Global Client Alternative Services (GCAS) team supports middle-office clients and provides outsourcing solutions for clients investing in alternatives and private markets. The team works across global locations to manage risk, support client engagement, maintain the integrity of cash and position data, and deliver strategic operational initiatives. As an Associate within Trade Clearance & Settlement, you will help support the operational lifecycle of private market and loan transactions while contributing to the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of critical client processes. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate settlements, resolve exceptions, and strengthen operational controls. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of private markets, operational excellence, and process innovation while helping deliver scalable solutions for clients.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years in loan operations or similar expertise in settlements, reconciliations, and documentation-driven transaction processing.
  • Strong understanding of private credit, real assets, project finance, and alternative investment products.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Knowledge of banking, investment management, and alternative asset operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in dynamic operational environments while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively while contributing to team and organizational objectives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with loan processing platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in loan and private market products, including project finance, structured credit, real assets, and syndicated loans, while partnering with clients, counterparties, borrowers, and agents.
  • Interpret complex legal documentation and translate key provisions into operational requirements and actionable insights.
  • Support settlement activities across a broad range of products, including syndicated loans, private markets, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), infrastructure debt, real estate debt, restructurings, and trade claims.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR).
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of portfolios and deal documentation to support effective controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and control enhancement initiatives that improve efficiency and mitigate operational risk.
  • Investigate and resolve cash, position, and transaction discrepancies while successfully managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
