About The Position

Pasadena Villa Outpatient is seeking a Full-Time Associate Therapist to join their team in Novi, MI. This role involves providing evidence-based and personalized clinical care for behavioral health conditions. As part of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare, Pasadena Villa Outpatient offers a continuum of care including intensive residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services. The facility in Novi, Michigan, specializes in supporting adults (18+) with mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. The team is dedicated to changing lives and empowering clients' strengths, while being part of a growing nationwide network.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling or psychology.
Holds a provisional clinical license (LLMSW, LLPC, LLMFT, LLP), in good standing, within the state of MI.
Minimum of 2 years’ of experience working with clients with a primary mental health diagnosis.
Clearance of TB test, criminal background check clearance, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

Facilitates group and individual therapy sessions in accordance with the clinical program schedule.
Completes session notes, contact logs, discharge plans and other reports in compliance with State, accrediting bodies, quality guidelines and payor source guidelines.
Completes all necessary documentation within prescribed format and timelines.
Ensures documentation reflects ongoing assessments of client’s clinical presentation and behaviors.
Facilitates specialized groups as assigned based on education, training, and experience.
Selects appropriate interventions to meet the clinical needs of individual clients.
Maintains therapeutic relationships with clients using praise and other reinforcers to encourage appropriate behaviors and attitudes.
Sets limits and holds boundaries in a kind and firm manner.
Conducts effective verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation involving other team members, as needed.
Collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate client care from admission through discharge.
Attends clinical, consultation, and operations meetings; serves as a clinical advocate for assigned cases.
Communicates client progress with the referral sources, families, parents and/or guardians, as appropriate.
Addresses clients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in a welcoming and respectful manner.
Responds to clients and families with empathy and positive professional skills.
Can be relied upon to be at work as scheduled, proactively notifying supervisor of planned and unplanned time off needs.
Reads, understands, and adheres to all company policy statements on ethics, conduct, and conflict of interests; adheres to facility policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains positive attitude and acts as a team player with others on the team.
Attends and completes all trainings within assigned time frames.
Completes other duties as assigned.
