About The Position

Pasadena Villa Outpatient is seeking a FT Therapist to join their team in Lansing, MI. This facility provides specialized care for adults (18+) with mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. The team is dedicated to providing evidence-based and personalized clinical care, focusing on client-centered care and clinical excellence. Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling or psychology.
  • Clinical license, in good standing, in state of MI (LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with clients with a primary mental health diagnosis.

Responsibilities

  • Providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients in a specialized Outpatient facility.
  • Assessing the therapeutic needs of individuals and families, and developing appropriate treatment.
  • Acting as the primary contact for clients and families throughout the treatment process.
  • Serving as a client advocate with the treatment team.
  • Acting as a liaison with referral sources, clinical partners, and individuals to coordinate care.
  • Exemplifying 5 Star Service to clients, team members, referents, and families.
  • Demonstrating high clinical skill in assessing client needs, determining interventions, and conducting therapy sessions.
  • Completing psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, contact logs, discharge plans, and other required reports.
  • Conducting weekly individual and family therapy sessions for assigned caseload.
  • Monitoring behavioral interventions and providing skills coaching.
  • Conducting specialized groups based on education, training, and experience.
  • Supervising or co-leading groups with staff or interns when appropriate.
  • Selecting appropriate interventions to meet individual client needs.
  • Maintaining therapeutic relationships with clients using praise and other reinforcers.
  • Setting limits and holding boundaries in a kind and firm manner.
  • Demonstrating effective verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate client care.
  • Attending weekly clinical, consultation, and business meetings.
  • Presenting cases for discussion as pre-assigned.
  • Completing documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communicating client progress with referral sources, families, parents, or guardians.
  • Informing clients, families, parents, or guardians of treatment goals and plans.
  • Documenting services provided, incident reports, shift reports, or department reports in accordance with policies and procedures.
