About The Position

As Associate Test Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Production Testers to provide Business Continuity, offering additional Troubleshooting expertise to test technicians. You will document issues in production and create root cause corrective actions, identify upstream locations where errors occur and propose Poka-yoke process improvements, and monitor test station productivity. You will also execute and document productivity improvements, execute First Pass Yield continuous improvement tasks, and develop and execute a Tester Maintenance program by reviewing top 3 tester downtime causes per month and proposing, executing, and documenting countermeasures and corrective actions. Additionally, you will lead and teach Test Technicians by providing training on best practices and system knowledge to promote development in the test team. You will execute manufacturing Testing Tasks for CR milestones and provide support to Prototype and Pilot Orders. Additional responsibilities include completing Quality CIT assignments, supporting Quality Audits, and supporting EVC process issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in science in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Electrical System Trouble Shooting (working with an Volt / Amp Meter)
  • Electrical Drawing Read / Write / Edit Capability
  • 24vdc/ 120vac / 240vac / 208vac / 480vac / 400vac (Europe) circuit understanding
  • Relay Logic Experience

  • Education Equivalent Work Experience (7-10 Years working in a manufacturing environment as a tester with troubleshooting responsibilities)
  • With Degree - 0-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Non-Degreed - 7-10 Years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Elevator system / code knowledge
  • Electrical Data Collection (i.e. PicoScope)
  • C# / C++ Programing a plus
  • Continuous Improvement Mentality / Zero defect Culture
  • Hi-pot Test Experience
