About The Position

This is a 12-month trainee program for students working towards an Associate's Degree. The role involves assisting with the set-up, calibration, and testing of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. You may also assist in selecting and setting up specialized test equipment. The position requires working on complex assignments where independent action and initiative are needed for problem resolution and recommendation development, along with simple troubleshooting. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy a collaborative, continuous learning environment and are interested in working with industry-leading technology.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must be okay working 20 hrs minimum a week.
  • Basic understanding of optics, mechanical, and electrical principles is helpful.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrate excellent organization skills, with logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization.
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Can stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office.
  • Some college.

Responsibilities

  • May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
  • Work on assignments that are complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
