The Associate Technician Production Operations – Pooling Department is responsible for performing a variety of assignments within a chemical manufacturing environment which mainly include but are not limited to assisting with the weighing, blending, and testing of various chemistries and bulk reagents. This position reports to the Manager of Production Operations – Materials, and is part of the material-flow operations team, located in Hebron, Kentucky and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a scientific field (chemistry, biology, engineering, etc.) and/or several years of related experience including handling, weighing, mixing or testing chemicals and chemical products.
  • Ability to clearly understand and communicate critical safety and technical information to teammates, other departments, and members of leadership.
  • Ability to train to and follow regulated procedures and maintain up to date training documentation.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver heavy drums safely and frequently.
  • A valid Driver’s License is required for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Bulk batch liquid manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, work order information, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process to weigh, organize, and document, various chemical components to build and mix bulk reagent pools for production processes safely and accurately.
  • Utilizing the appropriate calibrated lab testing equipment, poolers will establish and maintain the quality of their pools by monitoring and testing samples for temperature, background, pH, and conductivity as prescribed in product specific work instructions.
  • Support the maintenance, cleanliness and 5S of the bulk blending equipment area (tank farm), chemical storage areas and In-Process Labs.
