About The Position

We’re looking for a new Associate Technical Support Specialist to share their passion for computers with our IT department! Candidates will be responsible for troubleshooting various tickets, solving basic computer issues for co-workers, and preparing new user accounts and hardware. Strong organizational skills are a must, since our Associate Technical Support Specialist helps maintain and store the hardware that other teams need to succeed at their roles. Candidates will also need critical thinking and investigation skills to fix a wide array of basic issues and to troubleshoot helpdesk ticket items. Higher level support will be available to help candidates on more advanced issues, so it’s also a great opportunity to cultivate your own knowledge. If you have a love of technology and a desire to put those skills to the test, then our IT department wants you on the team!

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience building or troubleshooting Windows PC’s
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Knowledge of PC components and architecture

Nice To Haves

  • Active Directory and Windows domain network experience
  • Linux experience
  • Knowledge of Apple computers

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve basic and moderate issues in the Computer Support category of the IT helpdesk.
  • Escalate any more advanced tickets to the next level of support, assisting with fixes where appropriate.
  • Set up and configure hardware for new hires or as replacements.
  • Create and disable user accounts.
  • Keep all IT hardware organized and maintained, including ensuring storage in warehouse spaces and the server room is used effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate hardware is available as needed.
