As a Senior Associate Technical Consultant – Geoscience / Geotechnical Lead, you will provide senior technical leadership and delivery coordination for complex geohazard and geotechnical scopes on large, schedule‑sensitive infrastructure projects. The role involves leading multidisciplinary delivery teams, coordinating technical inputs across disciplines, and ensuring consistent, high‑quality outcomes through investigation planning, interpretation, and field execution phases. This position is suited to a senior practitioner with deep geoscience and geotechnical expertise who can balance hands‑on technical leadership with delivery oversight, mentoring, and integration across projects. This position will be based in a Worley office in Houston, TX; Calgary, AB; Vancouver, BC; or Alaska, with a hybrid work schedule. The role is not intended for offshore or remote‑only delivery.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geoscience, Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Typically 15+ years of relevant experience delivering geoscience and/or geotechnical scopes for infrastructure or resource projects
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Strong grounding in geohazards and geotechnical investigation and interpretation
  • Proven ability to deliver and review customer‑ready technical deliverables
  • Eligibility for professional registration in a North American jurisdiction (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and demonstrated capability will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the delivery lead for geoscience and geotechnical scopes on major infrastructure projects
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of geoscience and geotechnical professionals
  • Coordinate technical inputs across engineering, project management, and construction teams
  • Define investigation strategies, interpretation workflows, and technical execution plans
  • Oversee field investigation programs, including coordination with subcontractors and laboratories
  • Review and approve technical deliverables for quality, consistency, and defensibility
  • Identify and manage technical, schedule, and delivery risks
  • Mentor senior and intermediate staff and support capability development
  • Support proposals, planning studies, and early‑phase technical development as required
