Join the Workload Orchestration team as an Associate Tech Support Analyst responsible for maintaining and monitoring the enterprise workload schedule, backup processes, and data center infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science
  • Previous experience as a computer operator working with both mainframe and open systems platforms.
  • Experience with automated batch scheduler running in a distributed or hybrid environment.
  • Ability to monitor system activity and detect issues using: MVS System Console TSO/ISPF SYSVIEW JMR and SAR or similar tools CA OPS/MVS OMEGAMON
  • Ability to monitor batch processing tasks using: Windows Linux/Unix SAP z/OS Databricks Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of: Automated batch scheduling tools running on IBM mainframe and/or distributed environment (CA7, BMC Control-M, Stonebranch Universal Automation Center)
  • Media backup processes and associated applications (Commvault, Rubrik)
  • IBMs Job Control Language and CAs scripting language CLANG
  • Microsoft Office Suite of tools
  • Experience using system messaging and alerting tools (Unified Infrastructure Management)
  • Ability to track mainframe and cross platform job failures using incident and problem-management applications (Service Manager, ServiceNow)

Responsibilities

  • Monitors production batch schedules, system activity, hardware health, and environmental controls in the Data Centers and related infrastructure.
  • Coordinates with Publix Technology Developers, Engineers, and other internal resources to implement and update batch jobs and operational services.
  • Resolves service issues via ticketing system and escalations using standard procedures.
  • Maintains and updates key performance indicator data.
  • Supports schedule changes and updates operational documentation to meet business needs.
  • Assists business users with scheduling requests and issue resolution.
  • Responds to system alerts using monitoring tools.
  • Enforces security protocols to protect Data Center integrity and Publix’s sensitive corporate data.
