About The Position

The Associate Team Leader position supports a Team Leader or Senior Team Leader, focusing on learning the industry business and job responsibilities necessary for future growth into a Team Leader role (expected within 3-4 years). Key responsibilities include underwriting new and renewal business, approving policy changes, managing workload, and controlling written business up to the point of binding, all in accordance with company guidelines and established CRC procedures. This is a regular, full-time position on the 1st Shift, requiring English fluency. Requirements

  • College degree
  • Current state specific license
  • Must commit to a minimum of three years and have aspirations of becoming a Team Leader
  • Maintain necessary licenses to produce business
  • Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies
  • Ability to review information, make decisions and manage time effectively with minimal or no supervision
  • Strong desire to advance to an SCU Team Leader
  • Must have knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
  • Must possess and maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment essential
  • Ability to work extend hours when necessary
  • Maintain travel schedule depending on the needs of the clients, Agents, and new business

Responsibilities

  • Develop, cultivate and maintain excellent client Relationships.
  • Market and underwrite products and services to clients.
  • Underwrite new and renewal business under supervision of a Team Leader.
  • Negotiate the best terms and coverages available with accessible markets.
  • Prepare submissions for markets and secure quotes.
  • Assist Team Leader with meeting or exceeding production goals.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with company's policies and procedures.
  • Conduct Rating as assigned by Team Leader.
  • Review and process policy servicing requests (endorsement, audits, company requests, premium finance notices and cancellations, etc.)
  • Review inspection reports and compare to the conditions that were represented to us at the time of binding and take appropriate or needed actions as directed by your Team Leader.
  • Proof of policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc. and make corrections as appropriate.
  • Provide necessary instruction to Team Assistant or Clerk.
