About The Position

At Aaron School, Associate Teachers support K–12 students with learning differences in a safe, supportive, structured, and inclusive learning environment designed to maximize each student's potential. Guided by self-advocacy, respect, and individualized education, the role helps students build confidence and thrive. The Associate Teacher supports the Head Teacher with instruction, differentiated learning, progress tracking, classroom management, collaboration, and communication with families.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and with families.
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Ability to stay organized, adaptable, and consistent in a dynamic classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons across core academic subjects.
• Implement differentiated instruction and track student progress toward individualized learning goals.
• Collaborate with teaching teams and school leadership to ensure aligned and effective instruction.
• Apply behavior management strategies and maintain a structured, inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate with families and contribute to student reports, updates, and conferences.
