This is a one-year, DCTA-classified position with full benefits and school-based incentives. The year will count as one year toward non-probationary status if the teacher receives a rating of "Effective" or higher on the end of year LEAP evaluation. The teacher will be placed on the appropriate step and lane on the salary scale if able to secure a lead teaching position upon completion of the Associate Teacher role. This position operates as a lead teacher for up to 51% of the day, teaching appropriate grade level standards to diverse students, following school-based curriculum expectations. It also involves operating as a teacher resident, participating in learning experiences to help growth and development, and being committed to increasing effectiveness as an instructional leader in the classroom. The school is designated as an “Innovation School.”
