The Real Estate Solutions Team provides accounting, tax, and consulting services to commercial and residential real estate developers; particularly those who utilize low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, or renewable energy tax credits to finance their projects. Position Summary: As a Tax Supervisor / Associate Manager with the Real Estate Solutions Team, you will support a variety of tax and accounting functions for clients including: Review and sign partnership tax returns Prepare and review LIHTC and HTC cost certifications and financial projections for low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, and other real estate projects Anticipate, recognize, and resolve complex tax issues by recommending solutions to clients Work with internal team members to consult with clients to provide guidance and innovative tax, financing, and deal structuring solutions for real estate projects from the pre-development phase to the exit phase Mentor and develop team members Be involved in professional, civic, or community activities This position requires an additional 200 hours of work during the busy season unless on a reduced work schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting
  • CPA license or working toward completion

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Real Estate, Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Historic Tax Credits
  • Expert understanding of the technical tax rules applicable to partnerships
  • Ability to research and provide solutions for complex tax issues
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels and clients
  • Prior experience with CCH software products (Axcess Tax, Engagement, Document)
  • A Master of Business Taxation degree

Responsibilities
