About The Position
MS NOW is looking for an experienced Associate Producer for The Beat with Ari Melber. This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Must have at least 2 years’ production experience
- Must be proficient with Desktop editing
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient editing with Avid, Adobe Premiere
- Experience producing compelling visual stories with graphics, video and sound
- Knowledge of and experience with producing content for digital & social media platforms
- Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy and history
Responsibilities
- Straight cut video and work with editors on cutting compelling video
- Assist producers with desktop editing for television and digital content
- Assist with the editing and posting of segments, show-cast & other content across multiple MS NOW platforms
- Gathering elements
- Viewing all video to ensure quality before air
- Assist Segment Producers with research & production
- Work on content for the show’s digital platforms, social media and MS NOW’s DTC products
