About The Position

This role focuses on Microsoft products including Office 365 (Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, Sharepoint Online, Teams, OneDrive), Windows Server, Exchange, Sharepoint, M365 Desktop Application support, mailbox migrations, and on-going steady state projects. The position involves engineering and implementing solutions into production by coordinating with architecture engineering, product owners, and application development teams, ensuring that monitoring, regulatory, and system management requirements are met. Responsibilities include incident and problem management of production systems, scheduling, coordinating, and communicating changes in the environment, and providing subject matter expertise as an escalation point for support teams. The role requires applying knowledge of system automation and management platforms in an enterprise Microsoft environment, Data Loss Prevention solutions (Office 365 Azure Information Protection, Titus), application packaging, Internet browsers, and expert-level knowledge of Email security products.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related field and one (1) year of experience in job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. foreign equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or in a related role.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online technologies
  • Email routing and security software including SMTP Gateways, Sendmail, Postfix, Proofpoint Protection Server, Anti-Malware, Spam and Phishing defenses
  • Triaging production system and environmental issues and providing timely and accurate postings to other dependent teams
  • Supporting System and Network Infrastructure though Incident, Problem and Change Management ITIL Processes
  • Working on and triaging at least three distinct critical system issues at once
  • Providing guidance to lower-level support teams and serving as an escalation point for issues and producing documentation and training to these teams
  • Network technologies including DNS and TCP/IP
  • Configuring, running, maintaining and troubleshooting products that operate on Windows or Linux operating systems, including but not limited to Exchange and Microsoft Office
  • Operating system (Windows or Linux) platform administration
  • Configuration management systems including PowerShell DSC (Desired State Configuration)
  • Automation of Exchange installation, configuration, operational management, and monitoring, all using PowerShell
  • Automation of routine tasks using Python or Powershell
  • Performing root cause analysis of critical issues by collaborating with various vendors
  • Writing clear concise documentation as a result of product onboarding or troubleshooting

Responsibilities
