About The Position

The Associate Systems Engineer will support the planning of a school network technology refresh program for a large K-12 client. As part of a Survey and Design team, this role reviews, interprets, and creates preliminary designs for K-12 schools. The position requires an interest in technology, an analytical mindset, and the ability to understand Cisco and Meraki networks.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel, including macro creation, VBA, advanced functions, and pivot tables.
Understanding of VLANs and network infrastructure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of networking technologies.
Cisco infrastructure experience or knowledge.

Nice To Haves

Python or coding experience, including use of Python for network automation.
Experience with Excel Wings.
Experience with Netmiko.
Experience with Selenium or web scraping.
Knowledge of database development and creation.
Front-end development experience.
Mobile app development experience.

Responsibilities

Review and understand site survey documents and existing as-built documentation for wired and wireless networks.
Comprehend and adhere to the program’s technical standards.
Use Excel to interpret survey documents and produce deliverables.
Complete all program-defined deliverables in a timely manner.
Follow standard procedures to generate network designs and related configuration and integration documents.
Work within a team environment or independently.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
