About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) is seeking Associate Systems Engineers (Systems Architecting, Requirements & Interfaces) in support of the Bombers Mission Systems Engineering, Integration & Testing organization in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will be focused on supporting B-1 Weapons programs for Systems Engineering primarily interfacing with hardware teams, software teams and program management. The successful candidates will be responsible for leading and executing emergent and specialty projects in support of design, modification, and delivery. Projects include planning and implementing readiness activities in support of design maturity and factory execution such as flight test/mission assurance readiness reviews, technical design reviews, tabletop exercises, and resolving systemic issues involving heavy maintenance activities. These positions will hold responsibility for partnering with Applicant FAA Certification Team to ensure execution is aligned with programmatic schedule and strategies. They will also be responsible for deployment and standardization of On Time Delivery and Cost/Schedule Performance Tools across programs.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
2+ years of related systems engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines
Experience as a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, and a focus complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts.
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in verification & validation of requirements
Experience in Requirements Management and tools (i.e. IBM DOORs)
Experience in systems integration and test including lab integration, ground test, and flight test.

Responsibilities

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
