The Associate Systems Engineer will work in the Extreme Networks Demo Lab and Customer Test Center (CTC) environments helping to design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain these networks. Candidates should have basic networking knowledge, experience with applications such as Entra ID, Google Workspace, Windows domain services, and VMware. The candidate will work in our network lab in Salem, New Hampshire. Success for this position is based on demonstrating technical aptitude, critical thinking, and communication skills to solve problems, accurately documenting work activities in a clear and concise manner, and improving lab operations and processes on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

  • Passion and aptitude for learning technology and solving problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Can work independently with minimal guidance as well as collaboratively with other team members
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Experience with applications such as Entra ID, Google Workspace, Windows domain services, and VMware

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with routers, switches, and network software in a lab environment
  • Knowledge of servers and virtualization (VMware, Linux, Microsoft)
  • Knowledge of scripting language(s)

Responsibilities

  • Configure Extreme Networks solutions for demonstration purposes
  • Maintain and document our worldwide accessible demonstration environment
  • Assist with lab operations (racking, cabling, troubleshooting, managing equipment, etc.)
  • Demonstrating technical aptitude, critical thinking, and communication skills to solve problems
  • Accurately documenting work activities in a clear and concise manner
  • Improving lab operations and processes on an ongoing basis
