About The Position

First National Bank of America is seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Associate System Administrator to join the IT Operations team. This role focuses on the execution of established IT operational tasks and supports day-to-day technological needs across the organization. The Associate System Administrator is an implementation-focused position (not a design or engineering role) responsible for workstation deployment, inventory management, helpdesk escalation support, and routine system administration.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational, time‑management, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including thorough ITSM documentation.
  • Intermediate IT support or system administration experience beyond Level 1–2 Helpdesk; A+ or Network+–equivalent knowledge.
  • Hands‑on experience with workstation deployment, hardware/software support, and routine system administration.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to follow documented procedures and runbooks.

Responsibilities

  • Image, configure, deploy, and maintain workstations and endpoints in accordance with established build standards, procedures, and change schedules.
  • Perform hardware and software installations, updates, replacements, and patching activities within defined processes.
  • Monitor endpoint health using MDM and related tools, escalating issues according to documented escalation paths.
  • Maintain accurate hardware asset records, including receiving, labeling, assignment, transfer, audit support, and end-of-life disposition.
  • Document all work thoroughly in the ITSM ticketing system, ensuring accuracy for audit, reporting, and knowledge sharing.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by provisioning, recovering, and tracking equipment per defined procedures.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Helpdesk tickets requiring workstation-level access, configuration changes, or elevated permissions beyond Level 1–2 support.
  • Perform routine system administration tasks and execute assigned IT project activities under the direction of senior IT staff or management.
