This position offers a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility. Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position. This position does not offer relocation assistance. This role is on our Supply Chain Transportation Management team.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Basic knowledge of freight claim law procedures.
- General knowledge of procurement practices, procedures, and policies.
- General knowledge of business and contract law.
- General knowledge material and service delivery fulfillment process.
- Hazmat DOT knowledge.
- Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Effective influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Value, cost analysis, and general analytical skills.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to customer needs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to use sound business judgment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SAP, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Arranges and coordinates transportation and shipping services for equipment and materials.
- Identifies potential transportation service providers.
- Communicates with field and project personnel to evaluate provider performance.
- Reviews and handles freight bills.
- Reviews and processes routine claims for lost or damaged materials.
- Assists field personnel in expediting or locating materials in transit.
- Assists with shipping requirements and issues.
- May solicit proposals, evaluate responses, negotiate, and/or administer routine service contracts.
