The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking an experienced, collaborative leader to serve the next Monroe Correctional Complex Associate Superintendent. This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of the facility by leading complex operations, supporting staff, and advancing a culture rooted in safety, accountability, and rehabilitation. As a key member of the Superintendent’s Executive Leadership Team, you will provide strategic leadership across critical institutional operations, ensuring programs, services, and security functions are delivered effectively and align with the Department’s mission and values. Serving as the Superintendent’s designee when needed, you will help guide decisions that impact the facility, the Department, and the communities we serve. You will oversee a diverse portfolio that may include security and emergency response, facility operations, incarcerated work and training programs, classification, records, support services, staff training, and safety initiatives. In addition, you will develop and manage significant portions of the facility’s budget, implement operational policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with departmental directives. Success in this role requires a leader who builds strong relationships, develops high-performing teams, and collaborates with local agencies, law enforcement, elected officials, and community partners. If you are passionate about leading people, driving operational excellence, and making a meaningful impact through public service, we encourage you to apply and help shape the future of corrections.
