About The Position
The Boeing Test Operations and Engineering (TO&E) team is seeking an Associate Structural Analysis Engineer to join our Instrumentation Installation Design group in Berkeley, MO. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at Berkeley, MO.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 2+ years of experience working with stress analysis/structural analysis outside of coursework
- 2+ years of experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Boeing Analysis Tool (Common Structures Workstation or XSA)
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis Software (FEMAP, Hyperworks, PATRAN/NASTRAN, or ABAQUS)
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment
- Guide product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
- Develop test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
- Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort
- Investigate emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements
