About The Position

We are looking for an Associate to work on strategic investments and M&A in Indeed's Corporate Development team. The team shapes long-term strategy by examining the comparative landscape across the broader HR Tech space. We identify opportunities in M&A, investments, partnerships, and organic product development. We partner with cross-functional and Senior Leadership to develop and execute these initiatives.
You start with a clear point of view and test it against evidence. You size markets, build data-based models, and reach clear recommendations without perfect information. You understand how investments and M&A work inside a technology company. You work well with partners across functions and with senior leaders. You take on business challenges that make a difference in other people's lives. And you update your views as the data changes.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience
• Relevant work experience in the field of Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, Venture Capital/Private Equity Fund, Investment Banking, and/or Product Management in Technology sector
• Exceptional business analytics skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Proven inquisitiveness to learn & understand something new

Responsibilities

• Examine market trends, comparative dynamics, and key players in HR Tech and adjacent sectors
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to develop strategic insights and recommendations
• Build valuation and operating models to size opportunities and test assumptions
• Develop relationships with entrepreneurs and source M&A and investment opportunities
• Prepare memos and presentations for cross-functional and Senior Leadership
• Run diligence workstreams with partners in Finance, Legal, Product, and Engineering
• Support negotiation and deal execution from first review through close
