Associate, Strategic Finance
About The Position
Flow is a brand, technology platform, and operations ecosystem spanning condominiums, hotels, multifamily residences, and office spaces. Its mission is to create flexible, connected, human-centered communities that foster connection and value for residents. The Associate, Strategic Finance will help inform company strategy, implement business initiatives, coordinate capital markets activity, and perform advanced financial modeling. The role works cross-functionally and uses quantitative analysis to support decision-making across the organization, including building processes from the ground up. Flow is seeking someone who is quantitatively strong, intellectually curious, comfortable using AI, and able to work autonomously in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 1–2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, strategic finance, or an operating role at a high-growth startup.
- Excellent financial modeling and presentation skills, including the ability to build a model from a blank sheet.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and act like an owner.
- Fluency with AI tools and interest in applying them to finance and strategy work.
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities, and energy for zero-to-one problems.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to quickly learn unfamiliar industries, business models, and technical domains.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex analysis into a crisp narrative.
- Willingness to work under pressure to produce outstanding results.
- Integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with business leaders on strategic finance, including business plan formation, long-range planning, and strategic alternatives.
- Drive monthly reporting, including close actuals, budget-versus-actual reporting, and rolling reforecasts, and connect performance to revenue, headcount, and spending drivers.
- Build and maintain financial models, unit economics, and business cases to support strategic decisions across the organization.
- Support long-range planning, board and management presentations, and ad hoc analysis that informs company strategy.
- Contribute to materials and processes for future equity and debt financings as needed.
- Use AI tools to build and improve models, dashboards, and reporting architecture.
