The Associate Store Manager will partner with the General Manager to ensure the store meets or exceeds sales and contest goals, while also meeting payroll goals based on current trends. This role involves prioritizing, planning, and adjusting schedules and daily agendas to meet business goals, and holding the team accountable for achieving them. The Associate Store Manager will also be involved in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates to build a talent pipeline. Training and motivating associates through ongoing programs in sales, customer service, and product knowledge is a key responsibility, as is developing associates to assume increased levels of responsibility. Performance assessment, ongoing feedback, and completion of performance appraisals and development plans are crucial. The role requires maintaining a presence through effective floor management, ensuring staff coverage, and upholding store standards for visuals, cleanliness, signage, and safety. The Associate Store Manager will also manage store-operating procedures, such as inventory levels and cash control, to minimize store losses, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. A core aspect of the role is creating and maintaining an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, in accordance with the People First Philosophy.
