The mission of the New York City Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in New York City by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, protect the people, reduce fear, and maintain order. The New York City Police Department strives to foster a safe and fair city through the strategic deployment of resources, focusing on both crime prevention and addressing quality-of-life concerns while building lasting community relationships. The Capital Budget and Resiliency Unit prepares and administers the Department's Capital Budget and Commitment Plan; assists Department commands in the budgeting and procurement of capital goods and services; reviews and analyzes costs of new and revised capital projects and reduction programs; and provides determination on the eligibility of capital funds for projects/programs. Capital Budget & Resiliency Unit is responsible for the Department's Capital Budget totaling $1.4 billion, which includes federal disaster recovery funding ($30 million). This Associate Staff Analyst position will be responsible for the preparation of Certificate to Proceed (CP) documents for Facilities Management Division, Information Technology Bureau, Life-Safety Systems Division, Fleet Services Division, Aviation Unit, Harbor Unit, Forensic Investigations Unit, and miscellaneous equipment projects as well as ensuring capital eligibility requirements for contract registration with the Comptroller's Office.
