About The Position

Ellsworth Adhesives, a global, industry-leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, is seeking an Associate Sourcing Specialist. This role reports into SCD, an Ellsworth Corporation company, located in Germantown, WI. This is an on-site/hybrid role requiring travel into our Germantown facility each week. The company is also open to hiring candidates at the Career level for this role. Ellsworth Corporation is a family-run company with over 50 years of continuous growth, specializing in adhesives for cell phone, medical device, space/aerospace, and electric vehicle industries. This role designs and implements sourcing strategies for assigned goods and materials, ensuring competitive costs and optimal product offerings. It is responsible for cost-saving measures, supplier management, selection, and setup, and managing the supply chain for goods and materials to ensure optimal stock levels that adhere to quality and cost standards.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in Sourcing and/or Supply Chain or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college in Supply Chain or related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent
  • Ability to build strong supplier relationships and possess the understanding of the entire supply chain within a commodity.
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and work independently within standard operating procedures, and relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Ability to learn the Adhesive industry and products to provide recommendations for Sourcing and Supplier selection.
  • Effectively communicates the impact of supply disruptions.
  • Proven negotiating skills.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office applications, ERP, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in Sourcing and/or Supply Chain or related field (for Career level candidates)
  • Continuous Improvement experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sourcing of new material and suppliers.
  • Assists with the request for proposal process for assigned categories.
  • Partners with the commercial team to evaluate supplier core competencies and costs to ensure the right mix of products.
  • Serves as the primary contact for negotiations on costs, terms, and conditions for products.
  • Partner with suppliers, product managers, and sales on new product introduction.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with supplier’s contacts to facilitate prompt resolution of issues (expedites sales and customer service questions / concerns, customer specifications, product conformity, logistics, etc.).
  • Communicates supplier information regarding product and quality notifications across the Company.
  • Partners with the Planning Team to review and adjust inventory levels for assigned products and provide optimal material availability to ensure minimal scrap.
