About The Position

7-Eleven is seeking an Associate Sourcing Manager to manage sourcing and procurement activities for store equipment and related services. This role involves requirements gathering, RFP creation and evaluation, contract negotiation and administration, aiming to improve spend and quality performance. The position supports Sourcing Managers or Directors, ensuring compliance with 7-Eleven's sourcing policies. The Associate Sourcing Manager will partner with business stakeholders and suppliers to execute procurement activities, build collaborative relationships, and deliver improved cost and service levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to build and analyze financial models to evaluate proposal scenarios and present recommendations in a clear and concise format.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of legal aspects, negotiating skills, purchasing terminology, cost analysis, and legal compliance regulations.
• Proficient with MS Office suite – including MS Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint.
• Verbal and written communication skills that can clearly communicate with various internal stakeholders, team members, and suppliers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and background in store equipment (store fixtures, food & beverage equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, signage, parts and building materials) as well as related services, including Asset Protection in retail, food service or restaurants.
• Experience in sourcing/procurement of products/services in this space.

Responsibilities

• Execute 7-Eleven sourcing processes including data/spend analysis, strategic planning, market research, scoping, bidding, contract negotiations and execution, compliance, and supplier management for assigned categories.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing processes that support business goals.
• Build and execute various RFx/sourcing events, performing bid analysis and providing feedback to stakeholders, and collaborating on negotiation strategies.
• Manage suppliers/contractors based on specifications and contractual requirements to ensure effective execution, implementation, and prompt resolution of issues.
• Negotiate contracts and contract renewals with suppliers to optimize spend, reduce risk, achieve favorable terms, and drive towards optimized total-cost-of-ownership.
• Identify and interview potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities to determine qualification for producing and/or supplying products or services.
• Perform market research in applicable areas.
• Support legal in key contract negotiations, including pricing, performance measures, breach of contract remedies, and termination options.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions with stakeholders.
• Provide clear and concise progress updates.
• Build and analyze financial models to evaluate proposal scenarios and present recommendations.
• Coordinate demand forecasting efforts and support day-to-day business as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational and supply chain challenges to ensure timely product availability, consistency, and performance.
• Support onboarding of new suppliers and product setups, ensuring compliance and efficient integration.
