About The Position

The Associate Solutions Engineer (ASE) program is designed to accelerate recent graduates into becoming world-class Solutions Engineers. This intensive technical program breaks down the fundamentals of Solutions Engineering and Tech Sales into modules covering essential skills. Participants will engage in both theoretical and practical training, covering topics such as Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Security Infrastructure, Intro to Cloud Technologies, becoming a Verkada Certified Engineer (VCE), Hands-on Field Experience, and training on the entire Verkada Technology Stack. The program includes weekly assignments, assessments, and hands-on training to ensure practical application and success in the role. Upon graduation, ASEs will be proficient in Verkada products, possess the necessary networking fundamentals, and have developed the soft skills to act as trusted advisors to customers, stakeholders, product managers, and Account Executives. Graduates have the opportunity to transition into Solutions Engineer roles, a highly sought-after career in Silicon Valley, serving as a bridge between Engineering and Technical Sales.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a STEM-related degree from an accredited University.
• Highly motivated, driven, and self-starting individual.
• Entrepreneurial and positive attitude.
• Willingness to relocate to San Mateo, California for the ASE Program.
• Must be willing to work onsite five days per week.
• Must be independently authorized to work in the U.S. (Verkada is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role).

• Master’s Degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an intensive technical program consisting of both theoretical and practical training.
• Learn and master skills in Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Security Infrastructure, Intro to Cloud Technologies, and the Verkada Technology Stack.
• Undertake training to become a Verkada Certified Engineer (VCE).
• Gain hands-on field experience.

• Transition into a Solutions Engineer role upon successful completion of the program.
