The Solutions team bridges the gap between the Sales, Delivery, Product and Customer Success. The team exists to accelerate and enhance the sales process by adding credibility, objectivity, and subject matter expertise during the prospect’s evaluation of our platform. SpendHQ’s Solutions Consultants work closely with our sales team to provide support for large deals, analyzing the needs of our prospects to demonstrate how SpendHQ can address their pain points and collaboratively determine the best solution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of customer-facing SaaS pre-sales experience as a Solutions Consultant or Solutions Engineer (Enterprise B2B preferred)
  • Strong storytelling, presentation, and demo skills across technical and business audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-first mindset with a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Fast learner with high technical curiosity and the ability to quickly adopt new tools and technologies
  • Strong digital acumen and comfort working in modern software environments
  • Data-comfortable and analytically minded, able to work with insights and metrics
  • Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders up to C-level
  • Collaborative, cross-functional team player
  • High attention to detail with strong prioritization and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and on strategic, fast-moving projects

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced, value-focused demos of the SpendHQ platform tailored to customer needs and pain points
  • Explain complex AI/ML-driven capabilities in clear, business-oriented terms for diverse stakeholders
  • Lead or Support Proof of Concept (POC) engagements, defining success criteria and demonstrating measurable value
  • Support Sales with technical discovery, solution design, and objection handling
  • Assist with proposals, solution scoping, and RFP/RFI responses
  • Enable the Sales team through training, demo best practices, and reusable content
  • Ensure smooth handoff from Sales to Delivery by facilitating effective knowledge transfer
  • Partner with Account Management to support cross-sell and expansion opportunities
  • Share market and customer insights with Product to influence roadmap priorities
  • Provide subject-matter expertise to Marketing for customer-facing and thought-leadership content
  • Support partner-led sales motions with consulting and technology partners
  • Track the competitive landscape and clearly articulate SpendHQ differentiators
  • Continuously learn new technologies, AI/ML concepts, and procurement best practices
  • Build strong relationships through in-person customer and prospect engagements (up to 25% travel)
