About The Position

The Associate Software Quality Engineer – Systems Verification performs hands-on manual testing of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), controller software, and integrated platform functionality. The role verifies that software, hardware, communications, and operator workflows function together as expected. Working with senior software quality engineers and development teams, the engineer executes test procedures, documents results, reproduces defects, and verifies fixes. The position offers the opportunity to develop system-level testing skills and product knowledge while contributing to reliable product releases. The position typically operates in a standard office setting and manufacturing environment, with occasional travel to other PDW offices, customer sites, and field locations. It may involve exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments, and may require personal protective equipment (PPE). The role involves cross-departmental collaboration and both independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime as operational needs demand.
