About The Position

ResMed's Digital Product Engineering team is seeking an Associate Software Engineer. With a 30-year history as a global leader in health technology, ResMed fosters innovation and imagination. The Digital Product Development organization powers digital experiences and engagement to enhance millions of lives daily through connected care, building and managing data management platforms and mobile offerings. This role is within a dynamic, high-growth environment focused on simple architecture and agility. The Internet-of-Things (IoT) organization provides complete device lifecycle management and cloud-based device therapy data, enabling Over-the-Air (OTA) upgrades and advanced insights through IoT and analytics dashboards.

Requirements

Experience with at least one programming language, such as Java, React, or JavaScript.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong self-motivation, attention to detail, and great curiosity.
Ability to work as a team player or independently as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to debug, test, and fix moderate issues.
Basic understanding of software security and data privacy.
Uses AI tools for routine tasks and treats outputs as drafts, not truth.
Uses AI agents to diagnose and resolve well-scoped issues, bug fixes, and enrich documentation.
University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Programming or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

AWS certification
Familiar with Infrastructure as Code such as (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Puppet).
Familiar with Kubernetes orchestration.
Familiar with AWS or other public cloud platforms is an asset.
Familiar with serverless technology (Docker, S3, API gateway, Lambda, etc.).
Familiarity with Git is an asset.
Familiar with NoSQL DB and Relational Data Services (RDS).
Familiar with modern testing tools such as (K6, Kubectl, Jmeter, RestAssured, Postman, and Selenium).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Confluence, and JIRA.
Familiar with messaging platforms such as (AmazonMQ, SQS, SNS, AmazonEventBridge).
Exposure to OpenAI, MCP.

Responsibilities

Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
Develop concise, well-commented, and easy-to-understand code.
Assist in the design, development, implementation, and deployment of web applications, web services, and enterprise solutions using various web development technologies and platforms.
Assist in developing, testing, deploying, and monitoring multiple-tier applications using various technologies and platforms.
Develop automated continuous integration tests, deployment pipelines, and continuous delivery (CI/CDs).
Build best-in-class, cloud-native applications that are reliable and scalable.
Follow standard practices and procedures and apply fundamental theories, concepts, principles, and methodologies.
Follow and apply standard security best practices.
