Moog’s Santa Barbara Operations in Goleta, California, is growing—and we’re looking for Associate Software Engineers. These positions require having a current Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain Security Clearance. As a part of Moog’s Space and Defense Group, you’ll help develop solutions that support mission-critical systems on modern military platforms. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Either work or academic experience in the design/development/test of embedded real-time control software
  • Either work or academic hands-on experience working with integrated hardware/software systems
  • Either work or academic experience with control systems and signal processing (Systems Track)
  • Either work or academic experience with embedded Linux, cybersecurity tools, or RTOS
  • Current Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, debug, and integrate software for embedded real-time control systems
  • Work with RTOS (real-time operating systems) or embedded Linux
  • Develop device drivers and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553)
  • Integrate systems in lab and field environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across hardware and systems
