About The Position

SEL is seeking a talented Associate Software Engineer to join our team in Boise, ID. This role involves participating in the design, implementation, and testing of firmware/software systems, with a focus on understanding hardware and software interactions. You will contribute to the development of designs and test documentation, gain knowledge of SEL engineering processes and products, and uphold SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. The position emphasizes understanding, creating, and simplifying solutions.

Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Object oriented design - Object oriented languages (C#)
Graphical User Interface applications in Window environments including object oriented design and object oriented languages (C#)
Web application development including back-end webservices (ASP.NET, C#) and front-end web design (React, typescript)
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Experience with C# and Typescript development
Web development experience with React
Experience with user experience (UX) design
Experience with revision control systems (Git)
Experience with automated testing (Jest, NUnit)
General understanding of cybersecurity, user authentication and authorization
Experience working with a team
