About The Position

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Software Engineer in New York, New York to develop and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java and microservices architecture. Work with distributed systems, relational databases, and cloud-native technologies to deliver scalable solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Implement data modeling solutions and work with knowledge graph technologies to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. Utilize DevOps practices, continuous integration tools, and automation scripting to ensure efficient development workflows. Work in Linux environments with middleware technologies and containerized applications to build robust, high-performance systems. Telecommuting permitted up to Three (3) days per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • One (1) year of experience in the position offered or one (1) year as a Software Developer, React Developer, or a related role.
  • One (1) year of experience with Java.
  • One (1) year of experience with Java Spring framework.
  • One (1) year of experience with Angular.
  • One (1) year of experience with Spring Boot.
  • One (1) year of experience with Keylines and metphacts.
  • One (1) year of experience with SQL.
  • One (1) year of experience with SPARQL.
  • One (1) year of experience developing scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • One (1) year of experience with distributed caching and relational databases DB2 and PostgreSQL.
  • One (1) year of experience integrating Kafka for middleware messaging.
  • One (1) year of experience operating in Linux environments.
  • One (1) year of experience applying distributed system design principles and implementing fault tolerance patterns including circuit breakers and timeouts.
  • One (1) year of experience collaborating in Agile teams using DevOps tools and practices for automated testing and deployment.
  • One (1) year of experience building cloud-native applications using Docker containers.
  • One (1) year of experience automating tasks and workflows using Python scripting.
  • One (1) year of experience implementing Knowledge Graphs using Stardog.
  • One (1) year of experience utilizing Grafana and Splunk for observability and monitoring.
  • One (1) year of experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • One (1) year of experience designing and developing ETL pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
