Associate Software Developer
About The Position
The Associate Software Developer will be responsible for designing, writing, and maintaining code to add functionality to ThinkOn’s user portal. The Junior Software Developer will focus on web development for the front-end. ThinkOn is a remote-first organization. At this time, we are welcoming candidates from Canada for this position. Requirements
- Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related degree from a recognized institution, or the equivalent work experience
- Very strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Functional Programming
- 2-5 years of work experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS
- Experience working with development frameworks such as Angular.js, React.js, Backbone.js, Node.js
- Competency to participate in a coding challenge
- A GIT Portfolio displaying some of your ongoing projects, or the ability to bring them into an interview setting
- Great habit of developing using design patterns
- Have an eye for detail
- Able to gather requirements and estimate timelines for projects
- Strong teamwork skills, not afraid to take or give criticism when warranted
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Scrum within the Agile Development Methodology considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Participate in scrums
- Write production ready code that is well tested
- Actively participate in the design and development of product ideas, concepts, prototypes, and proofs of concept
