About The Position

The Associate Software Developer is responsible for translating requirements into software designs, developing computer software and helping define SanMar's software development practices. This role also maintains awareness of emerging and evolving technologies that can assist SanMar in reaching its business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming concepts and Java development
• Experience with front-end development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, DevOps organizations, and the stages of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Services and Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline development
• Familiarity with Stored Procedures and SQL
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with JUnit testing or other testing frameworks is preferred
• Experience working with SAP Commerce / Hybris is preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java-based applications.
• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and implement user-friendly front-end interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-structured code that adheres to best practices.
• Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
