Associate Software Applications Developer I
About The Position
Serves on software development teams to create and support web-based applications. Performs entry software development support functions. Assists as a developer of enterprise system applications and other software development projects. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- No experience required.
- Knowledge of web site development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of SQL Server or other relational databases.
- Knowledge of object-oriented development (e.g. C#, ASP.NET or PHP) applied in a web environment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with web site development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases.
- Experience with object-oriented development (e.g. C#, ASP.NET or PHP) applied in a web environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve on software development teams to create and support web-based applications.
- Perform entry software development support functions.
- Assist clients and co-workers to define application requirements.
- Identify programming and output needs.
- Assist in and verify preliminary design and output, and recommend technical and procedural design for new or revised applications including flow charts, system specifications, programming guidelines, and code review.
- Assist in reviewing, modifying, and writing program code and job control language.
- Assist in writing documentation of system procedures and guidelines for application users as well as for programs and program modifications.
- Assist with testing of complex programs, program modifications, or applications.
- Answer questions and provide technical assistance and training to application users.
- Resolve problems by reviewing and analyzing software documentation and production outputs to identify causes, solutions, and make appropriate referrals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
