The Health Development Office within External Relations at the University of Virginia (UVA) is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the role of: Associate Director of Development OR Senior Associate Director of Development, School of Medicine. The University of Virginia Health Development Office seeks an accomplished and strategic fundraising professional to fill the positions of Associate Director of Development or Senior Associate Director of Development for the School of Medicine. Reporting to the Director of Development, School of Medicine – Medical Alumni, this major gift officer will engage medical alumni to build relationships, strengthen the major gift pipeline, and secure philanthropic support. This position will focus on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects and donors, with an emphasis on alumni discovery work and major gift development. The role will manage a regional portfolio and collaborate closely with faculty, advancement colleagues, and volunteer leaders. Additionally, the position will help shape strategic direction for the Medical Alumni team, serving as a thought partner to the Director of Development and other senior leaders across UVA Health Development. The Senior Associate Director will additionally contribute to team wide strategy, provide leadership within the Medical Alumni development team, and help shape long term fundraising priorities.
