About The Position

Regeneron is seeking an Associate Scientist to join its Protein Expression Sciences team and support VelociMab antibody discovery efforts. This on-site role in Tarrytown, New York, involves operating automated liquid handlers for high-throughput cloning and isolation of potential therapeutic antibodies, working collaboratively with Protein Expression Sciences colleagues, and contributing to a fast-growing, science-driven organization developing medicines for serious diseases.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science with at least 2 years of laboratory experience, or a Master of Science, in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biology, or a related field.
• Experience with general molecular biology techniques, including PCR, DNA sequencing, mutagenesis, plasmid subcloning, and mammalian cell transfection.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing daily priorities.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented work habits.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with automated liquid handlers, preferably Hamilton STAR, Vantage, and HighRes PRIME.
• Experience in high-throughput assays.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot automated liquid handling systems to support antibody discovery.
• Perform high-throughput PCR, cloning, and DNA isolation.
• Isolate potential therapeutic antibodies for the VelociMab platform.
• Seed and transfect CHO transient cell lines using an automated platform.
• Accurately record experimental data in electronic systems.
• Adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced laboratory environment.
