About The Position

Work closely with the project manager, scientists, and research associates in a collaborative, team-driven environment to support customer and internal research projects. Responsibilities include evaluating and identifying effective microbial control solutions; developing and implementing new methods and assays; and contributing to product discovery, development, registration, commercialization, and intellectual property protection. Perform microbiology tests and studies within Energy and Water applications, including but not limited to preparation of media and buffers; microbial culture preparation and maintenance; microbial contamination assessment; microorganism isolation and identification; antimicrobial efficacy evaluation; DNA extraction, quantification, and analyses. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to conduct laboratory testing; accurately generate, document, and analyze data; and write timely technical reports. Effectively manage time across multiple projects, demonstrating a proactive approach and ensuring timely delivery of results. Write SOP and train new and existing personnel on standard procedures and equipment use. Adhere to all safety policies and regulations, playing an important role in maintaining a safe laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Biology related scientific field (Microbiology preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in research and/or product development environments
