Associate Scientist, Resynthesis

Terray Therapeutics•Monrovia, CA
•$85,000 - $142,000

About The Position

Terray is seeking a detail-oriented organic chemist to join its Resynthesis chemistry team at the Associate Scientist or Senior Associate Scientist level. The role conducts solid- and solution-phase organic synthesis in a high-throughput format, working in a closely collaborative environment to synthesize small molecules supporting platform-based drug discovery and iterative drug design in Terray’s pipeline. The position reports to the Resynthesis Manager. The role follows standard operating procedures and laboratory safety standards while carrying out high-quality, rapid production resynthesis with automated integrations. It collaborates with upstream and downstream stakeholders to coordinate synthesis schedules and compound deliverables, and partners with R&D groups to adapt and screen high-throughput organic synthesis conditions. The work also includes compound handoffs, follow-up experimentation and alternative synthesis routes for multi-step compounds, as well as detailed documentation of experiments, synthesis metadata, inventory use, and purified compound information.
